If Red Wins, Pink Exodus Should Occur

People in the USA, particularly the LGBTQ community, have become numb to the very words leaders are using to describe what is going on politically and socially. Donald Trump is repeatedly called the biggest threat to US Democracy; a national security risk and an outright criminal. The GOP has groomed members for years to be hateful of gay, bi, trans and to use all their power against any idea of equality. Ron Desantis has openly declared war on drag queens, trans people, gay and bi people with the district that controls Disney World striking down all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion provisions at the beginning of August 2023.

And O’shea Sibley, a vibrant young Black dancer, just 28, was stabbed by a 17 year old Aug. 1, a kid groomed by parents, politics and church to hate gays so much that he killed one for dancing. Not in Alabama. Not in the Deep South. In New York.

The writing is on the wall: America is no longer a safe place for gays. The Human Right’s Campaign issued its first ever warning, an Emergency Declaration, after 75+ anti-lgbtq bills were signed in to law in just two years. A state of Emergency.

Soon, the gay community of America will qualify for refugee status in other countries.

But most go about their lives, thinking things will change, can change, must change, but what if they can’t? What if they don’t? How long do we wait to be safe and happy? I’ve waited a lifetime.

One of the smartest men in the world, Albert Einstein, didn’t believe Hitler was going to be of much consequence. In 1930, September, 6.4 million Germans elected the National Socialists, Hitler’s Party. This was nearly 10 times the votes they got previously. They won 107 seats. That made them the second largest party in the Reichstag. Nazi wasn’t an insult or slur any more, the group was downright respectable, well, almost.

But Einstein and many others still saw Hitler as transitory, as barely holding on. Even when Hitler rushed to power, Einstein didn’t see him as an enduring threat. He was asked what he thought of Hitler in 1930 and he was quoted as saying “I do not enjoy Herr Hitler’s acquaintance. He is living on the empty stomach of Germany. As soon as economic conditions improve, he will no longer be important.” He thought Germany had a “childish disease of the Republic” and that was causing Hitler’s rise. He even told Jewish organizations that “any special reaction to the election results would be quite inappropriate.”

Hitler did have some setbacks after 1930 and Einstein was encouraged. But war was looming, and Germany was rearming. After WWI they could only have 100,000 troops, no heavy armament, by treaty. Hitler saw things differently. And Einstein could see the writing on the wall. In December of 1932 he left for America and never went back to Germany. When Hitler took the oath in January of 1933, Einstein and his first cousin/wife Elsa were in Pasadena, CA.

The next year he would leave Pasadena for Belgium. He saw a pamphlet that reprinted his photograph in a collection of enemies of Nazi Germany, with the caption “Not Yet Hanged.” He made his first anti-Hitler comments then, saying “As long as I have any choice in the matter, I shall live only in a country where civil liberty, tolerance, and equality of all citizens before the law prevails. These conditions do not exists in Germany at the present time,” with the implication that they would not so long as Hitler was in power.

It can be easily argued that civil liberty, tolerance and equality of all citizens no longer exists in the USA, and, quite frankly, never has. I am 60 and gay, and never have I been equal in business, in government, in societal eyes. The Democrats, holding the House and Senate 17 times in my lifetime, have not codified any laws to protect me in earnest, and soon gay marriage will be repealed by the body that politicians rely upon in the USA to do their heavy, controversial lifting, the Supreme Court. The court gave marriage, and it can take it away, just like a woman’s right to choose, affirmative action and so much other positive change. It can all be undone, and is.

So when do we, as a people, say enough, it’s time to go to a country like Ireland, a union like the EU, or even Mexico, where our rights, our lives, are protected and respected? How long do we keep hoping America will change enough for us to be safe on the streets, in our clubs, in our jobs and neighborhoods?

Are we like Einstein, simply refusing to believe until Trump wins again and suddenly all our protections are removed? How many times to we have to be killed, voted against, legislated against, demeaned on national TV by major political figures, or attend yet another funeral before we get it? America, as a whole, is not a safe, welcoming place for us.

Many are quick to site polls that say a majority of people agree with same sex marriage, disagree with drag bans and want trans lives protected. Well, those sentiments are not reflected in actual policies and protections because lawmakers refuse to enact them. In fact, they are passing anti-LGBTQ legislation, not pro.

I know, financially, the thought of leaving the USA to most just seems out of reach. I’m sure it did to Jews in Germany in 1930. And many couldn’t, they ended up in camps, dead, or shot in their homes or on the streets. Or they had to flee to neighboring countries on foot, like refugees at our Southern Border now.

I, for one, am ready to go. Blue states can’t protect us from an out of control electorate, from killers, haters, bigots, religious zealots. And I am tired of fighting the same fights over and over again when other nations get it more right than we do. They are not perfect, but the LGBTQ community of Canada, Ireland, the EU, they don’t live the same way that we do. They don’t suffer the same way that we do. They don’t die in the numbers that we do at the hands of groomed bigots all under the silent approval of an out of control party called Republican wrapped in the protective cloak of religion.

Republicans openly carry swastikas at rallies; they idolize Putin, whose best friend in Chechnya has opened concentration camps to put suspected gays in, has killed an openly gay pop star for shaking his hand and does so with impunity. The world is not stopping him. As more of the world turns against the LGBTQ community, including in Italy and Spain, and let’s not mention African nations, the GOP actually sends envoys to help them with their hatred. We are exporting hate.

The gay community has suffered enough. It’s time for as many of us can, to think about leaving should the GOP take power again. Even Einstein knew when it was time to go. And I may not have his equational savvy, but I can read this formula, see the similarities, and know the outcome.

If Red Wins, Pink loses.

Start exploring places to go in the world where your life will be easier. Start looking for jobs, for houses, for ways to make it work. Band together with friends if you have to, pool your economic resources.

The wealthy and able Jews, like Einstein, left. They got out. If you are able, I’m telling you, it’s time to be prepared to leave. You may think it unfathomable; but what’s unfathomable is staying in a country turning to fascism, theocratic rule and White cis-gendered male ideologies of old.

They don’t want us here, and maybe it’s time we evaluate, truly evaluate, why we stay.

Is America today worth fighting for? Dying for? If you are gay, is your life here, this country, worth sacrificing your freedom, your happiness and your actual life?

These are real questions facing our community and our leaders should be asking them. Our leaders should be talking about the exodus that will need to happen if the Red wins. Instead of congratulating this or that straight person for saying something nice, instead of debating Sam Smith’s new single or the price of the tea dance in P-Down or Fire Island, it’s time to pull our heads out of the collective sand and realize the America we want, and need, has always been a myth; it doesn’t exist. And the GOP has no desire to make it a reality.

Einstein left, and survived and thrived in his later years. Hundreds of thousands of Jews left, the rest were literally left to slaughter. Learn from History. We are in a very dark chapter in our history where a former President can be accused of 74 felonies that verge on treason and still fund raise and have as high an approval rating as the seated President trying to undo the damage. Why? Because over 70 million Americans hate us, still, think we are groomers and pedophiles again and they are winning elections.

In 24 months I hope to be in Vancouver, Canada. My family came from Canada two generations back and beyond, and before that, France. I would love the Marais District in Paris, but can’t afford $1m for a condo.  If I had over one million, I would leave now, before the next election. Or Dublin, Ireland, owning a nice pub where I serve vegan pub food, have a stage for performers and base a reality show out of it. Ah, to dream. But if we don’t start dreaming now, we will find ourselves in a nightmare.

Because I may not be Einstein, but I’m smart enough to know that I don’t want to live the rest of my years in a country filled with division, hatred and bigotry towards me; I don’t want to live in fear of being shot by a crazy person with an AR-15 in general, or sought out because I’m gay and in media. I have gotten death threats for 30 years as a talk show host, and I’m tired of it. My crime? I promote equality, diversity and inclusion.

There is a better life for gays out there if we are brave enough to admit this country, for us, is over. In fact, it never, ever welcomed us as a nation. Even at its most liberal, it didn’t protect us under the law, at least not laws passed by Congress. And never silenced those that hate. It let them groom an entirely new generation under freedom of speech and religion.

Einstein’s equation would be used by Oppenheimer to create a weapon that ultimately ended WWII. He hated that, and spoke out against it later in life, both of them did. His equation, by the way, that was actually proven by a gay man named Arthur Eddington.

If Eddington were in the USA right now, Einstein would tell him to be prepared to leave.

Just as I’m telling you.

If Social Media Is Unsafe for LGBTQ Community, Start Our Own

Is it the job of social media to keep the LGBTQ community safe? Not with Section 230 it isn’t.

If Social Media Is Unsafe for LGBTQ Community, Start Our Own

There are many things in life that are rights. The basics that started our country, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are a good start, and then there’s the first 10 amendments to the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, that explore things like freedom of speech, religion and such. We have yet to get those rights, well, right but we’re working on it.

Karel discusses LGBTQ Safety on Social Media on his Podcast the Karel Cast

No where, in any founding document that I can find, does it say you have the right to use social media, participate in social media or be safe from harm on social media. So a new report from GLAAD, their Social Media Safety Index, says that Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and Twitter don’t do enough to keep their users safe, particularly their LGBTQ users. For the record, neither does any public place in America, thus, we are getting shot and killed in record numbers, but that’s another topic.

I left Facebook years back, when the owner, Mark Zuckerberg, allowed misinformation about the election to be spread, enabled MAGA and Donald Trump and allowed LGBTQ bullying without much repercussion. It was spreading hatred, racism, homophobia, Covid disinformation, election disinformation, and it was doing it with glee. So, I left.

I left Twitter when Elon Musk took over and began to do the same. Now, this wasn’t easy for me. I do a talk show, record, do TV and write; each of these things basically require social media. In fact, in today’s entertainment world, you can’t get a show signed, a record distributed, a hosting gig unless you have a mass social media following. I do not. I restarted Twitter for the show and for my new website veganinvegas.com

But just one day back on Twitter and all the LGBTQ hatred was present, prevalent, and unchallenged. It wasn’t being taken down, it was being enabled and amplified. So I don’t go on Twitter. I post to my five followers (I lost them all when I quit and now have to start over) through another application: Socialpilot.

I use Instagram, and I know that is Meta, and I don’t like it. But it is the platform with the least hatred, disinformation, mayhem. But that’s my choice. I don’t TikTok. China owns it and they share our information no matter what they say to Congress. It is a security threat, and many countries agree with me.

I don’t expect any of them to protect me or keep me safe. Because I don’t have to use them. If I don’t like the hatred, if I don’t like the content, just like TV or music, I don’t have to hear or see it. I simply don’t have to log on. And yes, I pay the price in my business, but it’s a small one compared to how social media was making me feel.

Karel

And you don’t have to be a part, either. Our phones will text, will call, will email…you are free to contact as many people as you want. Websites are easier than ever to set up, your own domains, and you are free to start a blog, message board, video blog, whatever you like outside of social media. And you can have message boards of your own, a social media type site if you like (use Oxwall).

And LGBTQ tech people are free to start a Twitter-type messaging app with tighter controls, or one made for the LGBTQ community. Trump started Truth Social. It can be done. Oxwall is a platform where anyone can make and host a Facebook style site, where users can sign in, post, just like Facebook. And it can be tightly moderated.

So why is it social media’s place to keep me, us, safe? I know not to walk in to a MAGA bar in the South. As a motorcyclist, there are places I have traveled to with biker friends where I knew I wasn’t that safe, and I could have chosen to not go in. My choice. It wasn’t the bar’s responsibility to keep me safe. It was my choice to exercise discretion.

Social media is your choice. It’s your choice to participate. Your choice to post, read posts, comment, respond to comments. Yes, it’s not a safe place for minorities, LGBTQ community, and in my humble opinion it should be shut down. They are media companies, networks, and no network could function the way they do, even Fox News or Newsmaxx for long. But they have their little rule that they voted upon, Section 230, that says the distributor of the content isn’t responsible for the content. A nice rule, that you or others could rally to be repealed. Once it is, and they are liable for things they post, it would all end. But most using social media don’t even know of section 230. And there’s billionaires protecting it from being repealed.

Yes, social media is evil. Yes, it’s dangerous for the LGBTQ community. But it’s like Jaws. You see, I saw it at the theatre in the 70s. And it terrified me about shark attacks. You know how I’ve avoided them? By not going in the ocean. If you don’t want to be eaten by alligators, don’t go in the bayou. Is it up to the everglades to keep you safe from the alligators? No. It’s a risk one takes for walking in the everglades. Sharks are in the ocean. The city where the beaches are can’t guarantee that you are not going to be attacked. You accept the risk, or buy a pool.

The same goes for the gay community and social media. It’s not safe. It’s harmful to the psyche. It can bring danger. So don’t go in the water. Create your own community in a new social media outlet. Create your own website. Your own app. Create your own community. Create your own tribe, you don’t have to be a part of the Twitter tribe, Facebook, TikTok.

Sure it’s what all the cool kids are doing. But some of them are cruel. And the owners don’t care about your safety, or even the country’s elections; they don’t care about hatred and division, they thrive upon and profit from it. They don’t care about the harm they cause to kids, to the LGBTQ community, to others, it doesn’t effect their bottom line. Why? Because you keep logging on.

Social Media is not your right. Elon Musk doesn’t have to protect you. None of them do. Not while there’s Section 230.

Get it repealed, or stay out of their water and create your own inclusive, diverse, safe space. But stop acting like you’re entitled to Tweet, to TikTok or to Facebook. Stop pretending it’s your God given right to be an Instagram model. And stop acting like MAGA and anti-LGBTQ people are going away or can be controlled. Until there is a financial price for the owners of social media to pay for letting the community be attacked, for betraying the country, for suborning treason among other crimes, they will not only continue to do it, but exploit it.

You don’t have to play in that sandbox. If there’s quicksand in it, it’s your fault if you get caught and sucked down. Stay out. It’s not safe. The owner of the social media swamp is not in the the business of keeping you safe. They’re in the business of business. And protecting you is none of theirs. It’s yours.

The Easiest Way to Stop Donald Trump

By Charles Karel Bouley

Donald Trump is banned from Twitter, and owns his own social media platform, Truth Social. But one would never know it. Because one browse through the Twitterverse and his messages are quoted, screen captured and disseminated by more people than if he were back on the platform himself.

Not one news cast in the United States can go without talking about him for more than two stories.

Every major politician addresses him, either to condemn or edify, and nightly talk shows lead with puns or jokes about him.

He has truly won.

He is, in fact, the most notable, quotable, and popular man alive; and thus the most dangerous.

Now, he’s not doing anything but trying to avoid going to jail for his multiple crimes; nope, he doesn’t even have a really great publicist because like lawyers, none will work with him. No, he simply needs to get up, be himself, bloviate on his platform, and respond to the multiple fangless attacks by this-or-that law enforcement against him; attacks that carry great bluster but as to date, carry no consequences for him.

He has truly gotten away with everything as of August 23, 2022. He’s rich, as he uses his crimes to fundraise and gets millions, the only billionaire that asks for money and people send it. While most of us would be in jail for just one of his offenses, Reality Winner sat in jail for years for releasing one document that proved Russian interference in support of Trump, and today we’ve learned Trump had 300 classified documents at his cheap hotel. If he were Black, poor, middle-class, a woman, gay, Hispanic, anything but a privileged White man, he’d be in jail. But under all his orange he is still White, and rich, and that keeps him safely in his suite.

So what to do? Well, since Congress, Senate, FBI, CIA, local law enforcement, DA’s, State’s Attorneys General, since no one really is doing, or going , to do anything, the best advice for the world?

Ignore him. Completely. Not one news story about him. Not one Tweet. Ignore anyone that supported him, from crazy Marjorie to Babbling Bobert, from Josh on the Go to travelin’ Ted, just stop quoting them, posting about them, commenting on them, condemning them, being angry at them, just stop.

Think about it. How many other stories are there to talk about in the news? Biden had one of the best first two years of any President, you’d never know. Climate change is turning in to an extinction level event, and we’re the things that are going to to extinct, and you’d never really know. European rivers are literally running dry, the Danube, The Rhine, and what do we talk about?

Donald Trump. Or what his stance on it all was or is.

This column won’t stop that. If I, myself, completely stop talking about him on my show, in print, in my personal life, it won’t matter.

New York NY NOV 12 2019: Donald Trump coin in against usa flag in the election 2020

Because he’s got the world right where he wants it. He has truly grabbed it by the p**sy and it must like it because the world keeps making him relevant.

You want to beat Donald Trump and his entire cabal?

Stop talking about them, stop putting them on TV, Radio, in podcasts, on social media. Let the news report when or if they are indicted or going to jail and let them in your life as much as you let any other criminal family.

But neither you, nor the media, nor the world will do that, on the contrary, it’s 24/7 Trumpville.

And he loves it. He loves every bit of the attention you heap upon him, even the criticism. Because he’s a narcissist and to him it’s always about him.

And two years after office, it still is.

He’s won. Unless we all stop.

And we won’t. So welcome to the Trump Party (the GOP is actively calling themselves Trump Party instead of Republican Party) and welcome to years more of him dominating your lives.

Even from jail, if he speaks, it will get covered. If his family is arrested, their books will sell more copies.

Because humans have never been able to turn away from some things even if it means their demise.

And in the battle of Trump v. Civilized Society, Trump is winning.

Daily. Hourly. By the minute.

Because everyone must talk about him. I guess given this editorial, even me.

We all stand guilty and he stands free.

July 4th Is Cancelled as a Party

July 4th Is Cancelled As A Party

By Charles Karel Bouley II

Forget the sales, and don’t worry about fitting in to your beach wear (of course, beaches are in triple digits across the country this weekend, so, you’d toast). Don’t fire up your grille to have your favorite plant-based delicacies and you can skip the potato salad recipe, with, or without, pickle juice. And with all the mass shootings, no fireworks, ever.

July 4th in 2022 is cancelled. Because at this point in our history more people are under religious tyranny than almost ever and we are moving to Christian Sharia law; not since 1776 have so many been oppressed, subjugated and relegated to second-class status. Even before the Roe V. Wade’s repeal sent the USA back 50 years in public policy and put us on par with Libya for women’s rights America had fallen. It fell January 6th and has been in free fall ever since; It started its fall in 2016 when Russia helped install a sex-trafficking rapist grifter as President, or maybe it was 2000 when the Supreme Court assisted neoconservatives in their coup by stopping a vote count and putting in a Bush. In any case, it’s happened, the fat lady sang, and then started her own TikTok.

Instead, this July 4th should either be spent in protest, in rousing disapproval, or, planning an escape to another country. We must now declare our independence from fascist tyranny not of a king, but of a political party run amok in the Halls of our very capital; the very capital members of this party helped traitors and seditionists stage a coup inside just a year previous, still unpunished. The threat to America is clear, it’s the GOP, the party of AR15s, of White Christian men telling women, gays and anyone not like them to become invisible, die or leave and to do as they are told; the party of the wealthy and well connected, the party of traitors and criminals, sex predators and seditionists.

And that party is winning.

So this July 4th make sure you have a clear picture of the enemy: it’s every single member of the GOP and yes, that includes Liz Cheney who voted with Trump 90% of the time, it includes Mitt Romney, no friend to gays or women. The Republicans have been the party of hatred and division for the last 50 years and now they are the American Taliban. If you stay in this party knowing that be you politician or pleb, then you are condoning it and thus part of the problem.

So the GOP is a clear and present danger to the sovereignty of the United States and this July 4th defeating them should be the only thing on anyone’s mind. Lawmakers should be working on silencing misinformation, and yes that incudes Fox News, OAN and Newsmax; Twitter and Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. Get the radical crap off, or shut them down under national security. Or is losing a nation OK with most so long as social media corporations and giant media companies get to keep making a profit off of disseminating seditious information?

And in the spirit of the cancelled July 4th, let’s start using the language of our Founders, since Justice Thomas wants to regress to that era. His wife is a traitor, he is a seditionist. The members of Congress that voted to NOT certify the 2020 election are guilty of seditious conspiracy; all that asked for pardons have committed treason and should be removed as part of a coup; three justices committed perjury and should be impeached. You want a July 4th manifesto? A new Declaration. There’s a good start. Let’s add in all religion removed from all politics, and let’s make sure the Democrats know they need to fight like hell or step aside and let new, better Democrats in to wage the war that needs to be fought. They’ve been far too civil in this war.

Either the USA Declares itself free of the hold of the traitorous and criminal GOP or the document signed July 2nd, 1776 and then the Constitution enacted in 1788, well, they had a good run, but they might as well be set ablaze with the rest of our history as America will have gone up in smoke.

Now is not the time to celebrate. Now is the time to activate. The wealthy are already starting to flee America, as many flee other countries that are about to fall. Liberals with means are leaving because they know how bad it can get, and how it seems headed that way again. And if you have the means, and are able, leaving is probably the best solution right now.

Because evil is winning and it won’t be defeated easily.

And many of the good are either tired, dead, or, have moved away.

The Declaration says that when a government isn’t working for the people, it is the duty of those people to abolish it and create a new government.

Either Democrats, and Americans, do our duty and remove the GOP and two-party system death grip on America, or America dies.

An Open Plea to Gov. Gavin Newsom, Gov. Sisolak and Others

I need governors to unite and I don’t really know protocol so, I’m going to try the oldest method in the book: an open letter.

To the esteemed Governors of the truly caring states of these United States.

I have something that I don’t want you dismiss; I want you to think about it. Maybe you’ll see it as folly. Or maybe…

I have lived long enough to know that the only way for good to win is for bad to be too expensive to maintain. It’s a sad truth, but a truth nonetheless. Oh yes, also if there’s more money in doing the right thing, then it will be done and not until.

Take the opiate crisis if you will; many knew what was going on was simply legal drug pushing of a lethal drug, but it took going after the money, the Saclars, to actually start to do something about it. They were lying about a substance, and what that substance does, and then distributing it.

Because caring for opiate addicts, policing opiate addicts and all the other expenses of the opiate crisis costs states billions all told, and they wanted that money back. If the Saclars created the mess, knowingly, let the Saclars pay for it.

OK, so by the same logic, let’s look at the new opiate, just as addictive: lies about a medical pandemic and political divisions. Networks are making fortunes off of spreading actual lies about a pandemic and seeding sedition. Actual open sedition. And they do it behind the First Amendment these networks. But we all know that is NOT what the founders meant by freedom of the press: they meant the ability to speak truth to power and not be shut down. Not spread sedition and lies.

So the networks shield themselves behind something not meant to shield them and it’s allowed. But their distributors are not networks; they are not media, they are electronic distributors of media. They are not the press, they are newsstands. And the newsstand does not enjoy the same freedoms as the news makers.

But let’s talk brass tacs : How much has the misinformation about Covid cost the health care system, the states, the local governments, how much is misinformation costing the people in disruptions and cost of living? Truly how much? Millions? Billions all told? The Anti-Vaxers, the covid isn’t real people. The division, lies and hatred? There is a dollar amount there from business, health care, etc. They have cost a lot.

The Saclars were sued for the opiate crisis, even though people willingly took the drugs, because they lied about the drugs, their effects and hid behind regulations and were the pushers, the suppliers. It took brave people of each state to take them down, but they did.

Fox News, OAN and Newsmaxx, Twitter and Facebook must be stopped. They are ruining our lives literally with misinformation. And they are doing it by pushing the same opiate, misinformation for profit, to the masses. Those networks have cost the state of CA, NV, and others a lot of money because of the blatant lies and mistruths. The First Amendment was not about this: it was about repercussions from truth to power; not being shut down because you criticized a President, or King, it was never about lies, medical misinformation and sedition.

California, and other states, should band together against DirecTV, Spectrum, Charter, Cox Comm, and every cable provider that airs Fox News, OAN, Newsmaxx and enjoin Meta and Twitter in the lawsuit. If Fox won’t self-police, then they shouldn’t be distributed. OAN was just dropped by DirecTV. They know they are on the hook soon for money. The minute the case progresses they will pull those networks because the big corps won’t want to lose what they hold dearest: money. And the case could be made they are pushing the new opiate of the masses: Misinformation and governmental distrust. And it’s costing us lives and money. they lie, openly and without repercussion and call it freedom. Well, it’s costly. And it’s time someone other than we, the people, pay. The media companies know these networks are spreading lies, but they give them bandwidth. Cox, Spectrum, they program them happily. Well, then, they should pay. If the networks are untouchable under a warped view of the First, the distributors of the networks are NOT journalists, they are distributors of media, NOT media, and they can pay.
But it would take state’s governors to do it. Brave ones. It can and should be done. Or we lose our country. It’s that simple.

It is time to sue big media distributors for distributing costly misinformation to recoup what the taxpayers have had to spend because of it like states did for opiates. There’s precedent. Tie in the opiate cases with misinformation as the new addictive drug of the masses. Psychiatrist will tell you it is. This is real and this is a way to stop them.

If the “news” networks want a place to distribute their sedition, their medical lies, let it be online, on the fringe and not easily accessible. Make it too costly for media distributors, not just cable companies but Meta, Twitter and any platform, to put up information that is harmful to the population as a whole because it is based in lies or sedition. Telling people to eat horse dewormer, drink bleach, that Covid is fake, that a charlatan won and election when he didn’t, the founders would not want that to be labeled free speech. It harms the US, the body, the body politic.

I call upon you, Governors Newsom and Sisolak, to speak to your attorneys general and other governors, put a price tag on what Spectrum, Cox, Charter and the rest have cost through distributing the misinformation of Fox, OANN, Newmaxx and others. And make them pay.

It will not silence them, they will find other ways. But it will cut off their pipeline to the masses. The masses that are sick, dying, split and on their own against these giants.

Be our Daveys. Take on the media distribution companies that spread these lies. If Section 230 is not repealed, then find another way, and money is it.
